Board of Advisors
The Purpose of the Board of Advisors is to foster closer ties between the College of Business at Lamar University, its alumni, and the community. The Board helps the College of Business achieve its goals by providing the guidance and assistance members of the Board are best qualified to provide.
The Board as a Community Builder helps the College develop contacts in the business community to support faculty research and professional development, graduate placement, and executive education.
The Board will serve as a Resource for expert consultation, idea generation and facilitation, advice and investment in support of the College of Business through the committee structure of the board.
The Board as a Center of Influence serves as an advocate on behalf of the priorities of the College of Business as established by the Dean in concert with the President of Lamar University.
Board Members are comprised of alumni and members of business and civic communities who have an interest in the College of Business. The dean of the College serves as an ex-officio member of the Board.
